Gloucester Virginia Wedding – Gloucester Institute – Martinique & Byron
What started as a fun thing to do with friends turned into so much more. The #berganing of Martinique & Byron’s story literally has love written all over it. Virginia has these great LOVE signs scattered throughout the state. These two along with a few friends, made it an event to get photos with as many as they could. Byron had planned on proposing in a hot air balloon on their Florida vacation. When the rain had other plans, Byron came up with a backup plan. Proposing in front of the LOVE sign at Maymont Park! Kudos to Byron for coming up with not one but TWO amazing proposal ideas! I happen to think the rain was a good thing. Proposing in front of the LOVE sign is perfect!
That was just the start of how the rain would try to call the shots in their relationship.
Nothing was going to stop this adorable couple from enjoying their Virginia Wedding. Grey clouds hung over the Gloucester Institute, but it didn’t stop their love from pouring out. Nor did it stop the misty rain that was incessant all day. Martinique and Byron, however, were happy, loving, and content the entire day…a true testament of their optimism. Regardless of what the day brought – last minute ceremony tenting, rearrangement of chairs & tables, keeping all 200 guests dry WITH an aisle down the middle of the tent – they were all smiles and truly in love.
All of this rain tells me one thing. These two are going to literally weather the storms together. Even on their greyest days, they’re going to stand the test of time. After all, it is good luck, right?

Martinique is a makeup artist and does AMAZING work! Her makeup was gorgeous the ENTIRE day!
When asked “who gives this woman….” there was a reaaaaaally long, awkward silence. But her dad finally did concede =]
It was misty, drizzling rain their entire portrait time….you’d never know though =]
