Fairfax Virginia Wedding – Old Town Hall – Rachel & Ryan

The best way to spend a double header wedding weekend is in the beautiful rolling hills of Virginia. Shooting an intimate wedding in the quaint town of Fairfax, Virginia is just the icing on the cake. The Old Town Hall was the perfect Fairfax wedding venue. Such a unique Virginia wedding venue, set right in the center of the charming Historic District of Fairfax. Not only was this place warm and inviting, but a lot of the woodwork is original! A ceremony in a library (with the most unique windows ever), and a reception in a hall filled with gorgeous wood beams? Yes please! Seriously, if that’s what is involved with a Fairfax Virginia Wedding, sign me up!

Rachel & Ryan had an absolutely GORGEOUS September day for their wedding. These two lucked out with weather both on their engagement session AND their wedding day. As Hurricane Joaquin is quickly approaching, I am reminded at just how big of a deal that is! From the moment I got there, everyone was cool, calm and collected. Well, mostly collected…maybe we lost the groomsmen for a few minutes, but they had just decided to venture off to a coffee shop. Rachel was absolute perfection. Everything from her birdcage veil down to her teal-bottomed shoes….fit her so perfectly. These two made their day completely about them, and that is exactly what it’s all about. I don’t think I’ve seen a couple as relaxed as they were. The whole day was a breeze, and everything fell into place perfectly.

One of my favorite holidays brought these two together. Thanksgiving was approaching and Rachel’s sister bumped into Ryan and a friend. The two of them didn’t have any plans, so she invited them to her parents’ house for the holiday. The more the merrier right? Little did they know that the merriest time of their lives would be happening just under 5 years later!

I just loved the colors of Rachel’s wedding!




The brooch bouquet is AMAZING! Some of them are her grandmother’s and I love that she incorporated them =]

Ryan was very excited about dressing up “like 007” for the day. I’d say he nailed it!
