I cannot believe how big Ariana and Mason are. I went to high school with their parents and Nicole and I got back in touch a few years after graduation. Not only did we start a friendship, but Vernon and Michael seem to hit it off too. Don’t you love it when that happens? Back then Carson and Ariana were teeny tiny babies. Mason wasn’t even thought of yet. That seems like it was yesterday. Then I remember Nicole telling me she was having Mason. I watched her belly grow into the most perfect basketball I’ve ever seen. Seriously, PERFECT basketball shape. It was nuts. Now Mason is George Strait’s biggest fan. He even gave us a live performance right there on the trail. Ariana is almost as tall as I am. She will probably pass me by the time she goes into middle school. It was so nice to watch how sweet she was with Mason. I’m sure it’s not always like that, but for our few hours together, she showed true patience with him. She took a few minutes to get warmed up, but that’s nothing a few potty jokes wouldn’t fix. The real smiles broke out and we had the most perfect lighting ever. I look forward to watching these two grow up and capturing the little details as we go.
