First Landing State Park Family Session – Cake Smash – Virginia Beach, VA

You may remember seeing this family at the beginning of my photography journey last year. The Wilkersons were actually my very FIRST blog post on my new site! I absolutely cannot BELIEVE that Abigail is 1. When Ashley contacted me about getting together for a 1 year old session ending in a cake smash, I was very excited! I love being able to follow along with my families and capture memories for them along the way. Ashley and Logan are getting ready to move to Alabama soon so getting one last session here was a must. Really jealous that they will only be about 2 hours away from my favorite place in Florida. What better way to leave Virginia than with a First Landing State Park family session? One of my favorite places to shoot!

One of the funniest things with following along with families is watching how the children grow up, but are still the same in a lot of ways. Abigail was sticking her tongue out all over the place when we did their session last October. You’ll see that hasn’t changed. Sand was NOT this girls favorite….just like her mom. Hopefully that changes because I am already excited about doing a beach family session with them when I go back to Florida in April! Happy Belated Birthday to Abigail!
