Sandbridge Wedding – Virginia Beach, VA – Second Shooting Adventures

Sandbridge has a little piece of my heart. There’s just something about those less crowded beaches…and the giant doughnuts at the corner store. Rachel and Derek’s Sandbridge vow renewal was perfect. They rented a gorgeous beach house in Virginia Beach and it was a dream venue for a Sandbridge wedding. These two are some of the most laidback people I’ve ever met. With that being said, Rachel had all sorts of little details that she had planned. Down to the mirrored tray she picked up JUST to have the small details photographed in. Anyone who puts that much thought into their wedding photography is a winner in my book. So imagine my utterly giddy excitement when I was told this girl put together her own little styled shoot on the rooftop of the house. Uhm, amazing!?!?! The ceremony could not have gone better. In the first photo you’ll see Rachel putting her vows on paper. Let’s just say that paper didn’t make it down to the ceremony. Yup, she winged it…..and she did great! These two are very go with the flow people, so they didn’t skip a beat. They simply laughed it off, and Rachel spoke straight from the heart. It was adorable!

Fireball made a big appearance at their wedding. All day and all night they had a GoPro strapped to a handle of Fireball. Not only did it make for a great video, but everyone was having a great time. Even guests took turns with the bottle! To this day, I can’t hear that song “Fireball” without thinking about Rachel and Derek and their Sandbridge wedding. To say that they had a fun reception is a complete understatement. It was the perfect cool, summer night at the beach and everyone danced the whole time! Congrats to Rachel & Derek! I had a blast second shooting your big day with Stephanie Michelle.
