These high school sweethearts are too cute for words. When I met Morgan & Austin in April I just knew that we would be a great match. They have dated for over 10 years! That’s just not something that you see a lot of anymore. Something to feel accomplished about. How lucky are they that each of them found their “person” so early in life? Their proposal story is one for the record books too. Austin knew that he didn’t want to go to a big box jewelry store…that he wanted something with sentimental meaning behind it. So he took one of the diamonds from a recently deceased family members engagement ring and went hunting for the perfect setting. He got the ring JUST DAYS before the two of them flew to St. Thomas. Picture it…them on an island, at the water with more islands in the background. He set up a GoPro on a rock to take pictures every 5 seconds. Morgan is posing for the picture when Austin drops to one knee. She still thought they were taking the picture! Then she figured it out, and the rest is history. I love it.

We had a fun little afternoon (ok maybe a little warm) at Maymont in Richmond, VA. That park is HUGE! Gorgeous scenery everywhere, and a perfect little Japanese garden just for us….aaaaaand the other 5+ groups of people there taking pictures. Don’t worry, there was no photobombing. Once we finished there (thanks Maymont employee for the ride back to the parking lot in the back of your truck…those hills are rough!) we drove around to find this little outdoor amphitheater. The light was gorgeous and these two are the perfect blend of adorable & goofy. I absolutely cannot WAIT to shoot their wedding in October!
