University of Virginia Engagement Photos – Charlottesville – Lindsey & Matt
The first day of summer definitely put on a good show. I traveled to Charlottesville, Virginia for these summer engagement photos. Lindsey & Matt are students at the University of Virginia, and wanted to do their session there. I am SO glad they did! Not only is the UVA campus gorgeous, but any time I get to go check out somewhere new I love it! It truly was one of those hazy summer afternoons. The kind where you swear you can see the humidity just sitting in the air. That definitely didn’t stop us from checking out all kinds of different locations =]
Our very first email exchanges were about our mutual love of Harry Potter. It was a match made in heaven. The cherry on top? Lindsey & Matt brought along Pinecone the goldendoodle to their University of Virginia engagement photos. Definitely my kinda couple! We started in one of the little courtyards on campus. Full of fruit trees and gates that can be closed…so Pinecone can roam free of course. =] He also made a couple of photobombing appearances…which were adorable! We stopped by the Rotunda and then rounded the corner into the prettiest little walkway ever. The light literally stopped me in my tracks! I just love it when that happens. Then we found a cool wall and our own “mountain.” Guess you could say it was a pretty successful trip to Charlottesville, VA! I cannot WAIT for Lindsey & Matt’s Charlottesville wedding next year!!!

Beautiful session and beautiful couple! I love Charlottesville and all it’s history. What’s unique about UVA campus is that the architect of UVA is one of our founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson. 🙂
